A dual-app Android profile, a bypass router, and a living-room TV can each consume a seat. Symptoms vary: explicit cap errors, instant kicks, or endless login spinners that look like “Wi‑Fi died.”
Confirm it is really the cap
Web account login works but a new client is kicked while old devices stay up → capacity. Every device fails together → check plan expiry and connectivity first. In the device list, remove stale duplicates left after OS reinstalls; wait a minute before retrying.
Security while unbinding
Unknown active devices: change the password, enable 2FA if offered, sign out everywhere, then log only your gear back in. Skip third-party “slot reset” sites—they harvest credentials and trip anti-abuse systems.
Routers and TVs
Always-on gateways permanently occupy a seat. Pair them with higher-limit plans or drop the gateway—see router sharing. Remote-sign-out a forgotten TV from your phone faster than hunting menus with a d-pad.
Still blocked after freeing seats
Clear client cache, verify system time, and reinstall only from the download page. MDM phones may block VPN with vague errors—test a personal device. More: FAQ, guides.
